Unfortunately, we are surrounded by toxic chemicals, heavy metals, infections such as bacteria, viruses, fungi, parasites, etc. on a daily basis. These can interfere with many functions of the body, mainly the brain, hormone, liver, and kidney functions.

Dr. Richard Straube, a German toxicologist, developed a blood-washing procedure (apheresis) where toxins are filtered from the blood and can then be analyzed using affordable lab testing.

Ten years ago, Dr. Straube found (on average in the population), that 20 toxins go over the threshold of detection. In just 10 years, that number has gone up to over 500, which is a shocking number … That's an exponential increase that is not compatible with life … Straube completed his research on 1,200 patients and it is one of the largest toxicology studies ever conducted in this area.

He found the leading toxicants to be aluminum, barium, lithium, and strontium. These are the [toxins] in thought to be part of global geoengineering.

There are over 80,000 man-made chemicals that may affect our health.

Scope of the problem

One study showed over 200 toxins in umbilical cord blood. This includes pesticides, heavy metals, and chemicals that cause hormonal disruption and oxidative stress.

Some of the common offenders are:

  • Toxic Elements, such as Heavy metals in air, food, water, mercury amalgams,
  • Naturally occurring substances, such as molds and their byproducts, food allergens,
  • Persistent Organic Pollutants-Pesticides, PCPS, DDT, and Dioxin
  • Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs)
  • Plastics (Phlataes and Bis-Phenol-A)
  • Glyphosate
  • Toxic food supply

Factors compromising detox pathways

  • Chronic stress, adrenal fatigue, and being stuck in ‘fight or flight’ mode
  • Unresolved psycho-emotional trauma (UPET)
  • Poor sleep patterns
  • Artificial light/Disturbed Circadian rhythms
  • Loss of connection to the earth (grounding)
  • Lack of natural surroundings/habitat
  • Poor eating habits
  • WIFI/Electro-smog/EMF
  • Geoengineering

These have been implicated in the rise of many of the chronic diseases we are dealing with today:

Obesity, metabolic syndrome, vascular disease, neurocognitive disorders, cancer, fatigue, multi-system complaints, etc.

How these chemicals affect us...

  • These pollutants interfere with normal metabolic processes, including hormone production, immune response, detoxification, and many others.
  • The heavy metals are special because they attach to the protein machinery responsible for producing about 150,000 different peptides and proteins that are the active enzymes that regulate everything in our system, affecting nutrient transport of nutrients. The toxic metal displaces the good metals from their binding sites on these proteins rendering them inactive.
  • Mercury is particularly toxic and has the ability to poison up to 20,000 other metabolic systems, interfering with their function, further destabilizing the body’s inherent detox mechanisms. Mercury is a potent neurotoxin as it is implicated in many neurological illnesses.
  • In general, Mercury, Cadmium, Lead and Aluminum are the worst offenders and can lead to many chronic conditions, namely auto-immune conditions, chronic fatigue syndrome, and allergies.
  • This ‘inactivation’ of our bodies’ abilities to utilize minerals has compounded the lack of mineral content in our food. The mineral content in nutrition has dramatically dropped in the last hundred years because of large scale farming methods. In particular, we are seeing many patients in our clinic with a mineral deficiency especially magnesium. Magnesium runs potentially thousands of enzymes and functions in the body, so the implications of this are staggering.
  • Mineral loss from foodstuffs has also been tied to Glyphosate, the active ingredient in the popular insecticide, Roundup.

Glyphosate, a category of its own...

Glyphosate, the active chemical in Roundup, is the most commonly used herbicide in the United States. With over 330 Million pounds sprayed annually, it is a water-soluble compound that has made its way into our foodstuffs and water supply.  In one study, Glyphosate was found in 93 percent at an average level of 3.096 parts per billion (PPB). Unfortunately, due to Glyphsate's ability to block certain detoxification pathways, Glyphosate makes all environmental toxins worse.

  • Glyphosate is also linked to many gut disorders, brain disorders such as Alzheimer’s and Autism, as well as auto-immune diseases, and even cancer. It has a particular affinity to reduce manganese levels, which in turn reduce healthy levels of lactobacillus, which in turn makes it easier for pathogens to grow in the gut.
  • Glyphosate also weakens the gut lining, causing food particles to leak out into the bloodstream, leading to ‘leaky gut syndrome’. Glyphosate has been implicated in the exponential rise in gluten sensitivity and intolerance.
  • Glyphosate displaces a critical protein called Glycine, the most abundant protein in our bodies. Glycine is necessary for tissue repair, the production of neurotransmitters, sleep patterns, and especially detox pathways. This may explain why we are seeing an ever-increasing problem of toxicity, sleep disturbance, and anxiety.
  • Eventually, the toxic load can become so high that our bodies cannot process them anymore, and we see the rise of mystery, chronic illness, such as ME/CFS Myalgic encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.

How to protect yourself

  • Avoid chemicals known to be harmful to human health. For more information, see Environmental Working Group
  • Avoid cosmetics, heavy scents, and perfumes.
  • Eat Organic, Non-GMO, non-processed foods whenever possible
  • Recommend getting a good water filter to reduce the toxicity load of drinking water.
  • Stay Hydrated. The solution to pollution is dilution!
  • Engage in regular detox methods: coffee enemas, infrared sauna, ionic foot bath
  • Support Liver health and healthy bile production.
  • Take supportive nutrients to assist detox pathways. Please contact us for more information.
